About the Pub
Pub closed January 2015, then re-opened with new name July 2015. Merito has been updated and transformed to a country pub and restaurant. It is Category C listed building with the original construction dating from the early to mid 19th century. One handpump dispenses mainly Scottish rotating beers, and the rear lounge is now a large bar with log burning fire. The pub has a dining area and a private dining area is also available. Food is served Wednesday – Sunday. The pub was taken over by the community in 2018.
