Updates

Open again after lockdown. Please note that pubs will not be able to offer the same services and facilities that they usually do, due to Government guidelines regarding making pubs Covid-secure. We recommend checking with each pub’s online presence before visiting for the first time. Please support the hospitality trade responsibly by showing patience and following Government guidance for your own safety, and that of pub staff, customers and the wider community.

About the Pub

Roadside inn since the 1620's on the A38, close to the historic medieval town of Axbridge. Popular for its extensive food menu served all day until 9pm (8pm Sun) and its Easter beer festival it usually has four guest beers that can often be adventurous and rare for the area. A large hillside garden with children's play facilities offers a fine view of the Mendip Hills and Somerset Levels. Families are welcome - dogs too. There is a small car park opposite.
