NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis. But please be aware that some special restrictions may apply, opening hours may be different to those displayed here, and some venues may be yet to re-open at all. Before visiting any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

You can check for local restrictions that may affect venues here

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Updates

Open again end of July. Please note that pubs will not be able to offer the same services and facilities that they usually do, due to Government guidelines regarding making pubs Covid-secure. We recommend checking with each pub’s online presence before visiting for the first time. Please support the hospitality trade responsibly by showing patience and following Government guidance for your own safety, and that of pub staff, customers and the wider community.

About the Pub

Very popular 18th-century inn tucked at the end of a cobbled, pedestrianised courtyard with heated outdoor seating/smoking area with a TV for sporting events. The pub was completely refurbished in 2005, and taken over by St Austell Brewery in 2012. There are usually four beers from the St Austell stable, and one guest. The L-shaped bar area and slightly elevated 'lantern room', wood panelling, a mix of plush and wooden seating and copper fittings make for a cosy atmosphere.
