NOTICE: Venues need your support more than ever during the ongoing coronavirus crisis. At this time, hospitality venues in England are not allowed to open but can operate takeaway and delivery services, providing that any takeaway alcohol is pre-ordered. Details of takeaway and delivery services may appear on this page if we become aware of them.

Before visiting any venue, we strongly advise you to check its website or social media, or get in touch with them first to avoid disappointment.

If you see any details here that need updating, please let us know by submitting feedback on the pub.

Open again after lockdown. Tue-Thu: 4-10; Sat-Sun: 12-10:30; Sun-Mon: Closed.

Please note that pubs will not be able to offer the same services and facilities that they usually do, due to Government guidelines regarding making pubs Covid-secure. We recommend checking with each pub’s online presence before visiting for the first time. Please support the hospitality trade responsibly by showing patience and following Government guidance for your own safety, and that of pub staff, customers and the wider community.

About the Pub

This small freehouse lies hidden in a residential area just a few yards from the top of Park Street, its many shops and bus routes. It overlooks a grassy area and an ancient yew tree. The cosy interior has a coal-effect gas fire and a selection of pictures and old brewery signs. An additional 'snug' room in the back of the bar provides additional space and a wood burning stove. Two of three regular beers are accompanied by a changing guest, usually from local or South West breweries. A traditional cider is on handpump. Traditional board games are available. In Spring and Summer a Bristol in Bloom award winning display can be seen outside and at Christmas it's a veritable Winter Wonderland, inside and out.
