Updates

Open again after lockdown. Closed Mondays for the moment though. Please note that pubs will not be able to offer the same services and facilities that they usually do, due to Government guidelines regarding making pubs Covid-secure. We recommend checking with each pub’s online presence before visiting for the first time. Please support the hospitality trade responsibly by showing patience and following Government guidance for your own safety, and that of pub staff, customers and the wider community.

About the Pub

A 17th-century stone-built pub in the centre of the village. Three rooms converge on the bar; the largest is the main dining area. Food sales are strong, but not at the expense of ale drinkers. Two real fires and exposed beams add to the cosy atmosphere. There is also a garden/patio with a sales hatch. Families are welcome, and there is occasional live music, and a monthly quiz night. The 4A bus provides a Monday to Friday service to the village from Weston. Additional beers from Butcombe are sometimes featured. CAMRA accredited for serving consistently well-kept real ales.
