About the Pub

Formerly known as 'White Horse' (1834 - 1980s), The award winning Orchard Inn has been selling cider on the premises for over 180 years. Nestled on the corner of Spike Island, the pub is situated by the marina, just a short and pleasant walk along the harbourside from the city centre. Under new management in December 2018. There is room for six ales on gravity. Proper Job is the only pemanent offering, plus semi-regular offerings from Box Steam, St Austell, Bath and Otter and then additional guests from the likes of Bristol Beer Factory or Gloucester. There are always 20 or more still ciders and perries from across the country. Rolls, pasties, scotch eggs and pork pies are available until they sell out.
