About the Pub

This large pub, located at the junction of the A6/A610, is also convenient for walkers on the Cromford Canal and is only a few minutes from the rail station. Like much of the beautiful Amber valley, a close conjunction of varying modes of travel. Originally built by in 1874 by Francis Hurt, it is a large pub which has a very modernised interior with multiple eating and drinking areas. There is a large function suite (popular for weddings) with its own garden while pub users have a choice of three outside drinking area, two at the front and one at the very rear which has the advantage of overlooking the sloping cricket ground.
