About the Pub

The 'Ola' is a good solid traditional looking building over looking the harbour. Built on the site of `The Inns of Sinclair` that dated back to the 14th century.

There is a traditional public bar entered directly from the street, complete with a roaring fire in the winter, and a larger, recently refurbished lounge to the rear, the Back Bar, which serves food. Both have a friendly welcoming atmosphere serving beer from the local Swannay Brewery.

An extensive range of whiskies is stocked and there are music sessions on the last Sunday of each month from 4pm, and these can be lively during the summer months.

All the major attractions of Kirkwall are a short walk away.

Joint CAMRA Northern Isles Pub Of The Year 2018.
