About the Pub

STOP PRESS - news received on 9/3/15 that the Shisha bar is set to close, and the pub will then re-open shortly afterwards. More news soon. Converted 10/9/14 to Shisha bar use. From June 2012 the pub was renamed the Imperial and is set to reduce in size by closing the front room on the St Peters Sq side to concentrate trade on the current back room, which will be accessed from Piccadilly. With beers from the Thwaites stable it is envisaged that the pub will a good deal more cosy and bring back the atmosphere that once held sway in the nearby Unity. A convert to cask ale in mid-2011. Formerly the Blarney Stone. Originally built as the Imperial.
